AmProtein has revolutionized protein manufacture through use of two important proprietary systems:
- The discovery of a DNA physical structure-based expression mechanism common to eukaryotic cells, known as 'the GC-rich method.'
- Non-sparging, novel O2 transfer method, resulting in commercialization of single-use, plastic bag-based bioreactors and paper carrier-based perfusion system.
By taking advantage of the above discoveries, AmProtein has developed dual-domain protein therapeutics with improved efficacies and longer half-lives for unmet medical needs.
AmProtein owns all of the below published patents:
- (WO 2008/091276) USE OF CHICK BETA ACTIN GENE INTRON-1
- (WO 2007/142664) A METHOD TO INCREASE DISSOLVED OXYGEN IN A CULTURE VESSEL
- (WO 2006/138143) SUSPENSION CULTURE VESSELS
- (WO 2006/043972) CHIMERIC PROTEIN
- (WO 2005/021578) A NOVEL CHIMERIC POLYPEPTIDE AND USE THEREOF
- (WO 2007/018619) CHIMERIC THERAPEUTIC AGENTS
AmProtein also owns five unpublished priority patents.
AmProtein is interested in transfer and out-licensing of these technologies and patents.
