AmProtein has revolutionized protein manufacture through use of two important proprietary systems:
- Non-sparging, novel O2 transfer method, resulting in commercialization of single-use, plastic bag-based bioreactors and paper carrier-based perfusion system.
- The discovery of a DNA physical structure-based expression mechanism common to eukaryotic cells, known as 'the GC-rich method.
By taking advantage of the above discoveries, AmProtein has developed tissue-targeted Enbrel and two-domain protein therapeutics with improved efficacies and longer half-lives for unmet medical needs.
AmProtein owns all of the below published patent applications and granted patents:
- (WO 2010/090840) BIOREACTOR AND USES THEREOF
- (WO 2010/005746) BIOREACTORS
- (WO 2008/091276) USE OF CHICK BETA ACTIN GENE INTRON-1 VESSELS
- (WO 2007/142664) A METHOD TO INCREASE DISSOLVED OXYGEN IN A CULTURE VESSEL
- (WO 2006/138143)SUSPENSION CULTURE VESSELS
- (WO 2005/021578) A NOVEL CHIMERIC POLYPEPTIDE AND USE THEREOF
